Add a new product to your shop [WooCommerce]

In this tutorial you will learn how to add a new product to your WooCommerce shop on your WordPress website. 







Quick Summary:

  1. Go to 'products' > 'add new'
  2. Add in product name in name field
  3. Scroll down to ‘product data’ section
    1. In ‘general’ tab set the product price
    2. In ‘Inventory’ tab check the ‘Manage Stock’ checkbox Set the ‘Stock quantity’ amount (how many you have in stock)
      & set the ‘Low stock threshold’ number (when you want to get notified that your stock is running low)
  4. On the right-hand side
    1. select the product categories (or select ‘add new category’ if you need a new one)
    2. Add the product image (select from media library or upload a new one)
    3. Optionally, add product gallery images (select from media library or upload new ones) – you can select multiple
  5. Below the product data, add in the product short description
  6. Optionally, if your template displays it, add in the long & detailed product description in the big text field above product data & below the product name

Please be aware that the video tutorial above uses a test website. Your website might have slightly different items and options in its menu, depending on what plug-ins are installed, what theme the website is using or what user rights you have.
